The Paintings by Michael Taylor website was designed and developed by myself, Philip Rees. Here is a link to my site about music technology, which was the subject of my former business.

When I started work on this iteration of the Paintings by Michael Taylor site, in June 2007, I knew I wanted to use a Javascript library. When I met jQuery, it was love at first sight. jQuery was then at version 1.1.

The gallery system is made from a mountain of jQuery, with some PHP behind the scenes.

Paintings by Michael Taylor was the first site that I created using the Drupal framework and content management system. I started developing the site with Drupal 6 as soon as it was available in beta, in September 2007.

Drupal provides the engine for the main site plus the back end for the gallery system.
